Echelveandalthael
Guardian
Unbreakable Wall of the Company
Echelveandalthael, a Guardian of exceptional stature, left the ancient, starlit realms of Lindon on a secret mission: to locate Captain Echelandir and join his company to fight the forces of Sauron. As a descendant of the legendary House of the Heavenly Arch of lost Gondolin, he carries the stern, unyielding discipline of the First Age. Clad in massive heavy armor and wielding a colossal tower shield, his defensive skills are unrivaled. This rigid warrior, who holds a deep passion for the craft of armorsmithing, met the company at the Last Homely House, introduced by Master Elrond himself as a stern envoy from the High King's ancient vanguard. Raised under strict, uncompromising military discipline, Echelveandalthael despised nonsense. Immediate friction arose when he witnessed the casual behavior of Echelarea and Echelruuke and especially Echelwardir, who foolishly picked a brawl with the giant. The stubborn Guardian, possessing the fierce grit and unyielding nature of a dwarf rather than an elf, easily overpowered him, earning the trio's instant respect. When a pack of savage trolls ambushed them in the perilous Trollshaws, Echelveandalthael stood as an unbreakable iron wall, shielding the entire company with his massive frame and heavy shield while the others systematically finished the beasts. Despite ongoing banter and playful provocations from his peers, the rigid Guardian has earned the ultimate devotion of the company. Even Echelwardir started honing his tanking skills under this new, highly reluctant master. Though stern, the giant found unexpected peace here, having rather unusual student. He secretly adores the beautiful music and singing of Echelinda, and developed a rare love for relaxing in Bree, enjoying hearty, warm meals prepared by Men and discovering craftsmanship of human metalworkers. Galadriel gave him small tree oak figurine of an ox carved by a child, saying to never forget that nature gives strength.
