He commands the "Wild Scream"a small, black vessel bristling with hidden weapons and crewed by loyal cutthroats.His luck turned dark when he accepted a job to smuggle a powerful emissary from Angmar into Umbar Baharbêl. The mission succeeded, but Echelvanbloth learned too much. To silence him, Angmar sent assassins. What they didn't know was that the pirate also stole a few gems and a strange, sapphire-encrusted skull necklace from the emissary's chest.While his crew stayed aboard, a drunken Echelvanbloth was ambushed in the city. He was saved by Echelarea and a brooding Echelzannor, who hated every second of the Umbar heat. Grateful, the pirate bought them drinks and learned about the Company and Captain Echelandir.The stolen necklace was a cursed relic from Dol Guldur. It torments Echelvanbloth with horrific nightmares and an unnatural, growing fear of watera death sentence for a pirate.Captain Echelandir consulted Gandalf, confirming the curse can be broken, though the method is unknown. Realizing Angmar will never stop hunting him and that the sea is turning against him, Echelvanbloth joined the Company. They travel far and wide; if a cure exists, they will find it.
